Mango Wood is an extremely beautiful hardwood and having been used as a sustainable resource for furniture throughout Southeast Asia for decades, is becoming very popular in the West, especially due to it’s far greater sustainability over other popular hardwoods such as oak or teak.

Mango Wood is so sustainable due to it’s primary use as a fruit tree. Mango trees are large trees, growing as tall as 100 feet in height and up to 5 feet in diameter. As the older, larger Mango trees stop producing fruit, the mango farmers cut down these massive trees to plant more fruit-bearing trees. This Mango wood is then sold by the farmers to produce beautiful Mango Furniture.
